We use a no pressure roof treatment. The streaks on the roof are a bacteria called Gleocapsa Magma. Other organisms on the roof are mildew and algae which can be unsightly but are not as destructive as some of the more aggressive bacteria and fungus. Moss and Lichen start to form in the latter stage after the other fungal growths have already started. All of the above directly decompose and break down roofing materials that are preventable with cleaning. Our no pressure roof cleaning treatment can take up to 3 months to completely remove the organisms. There will be an extremely noticeable difference on the first day as seen below, but will continue to kill the bacteria with each rain.
